Shardlow to Trent Lock
We were joined for 2 days by our good friends Mich & Mark as we left the River Trent and headed up the Erewash Canal from Trent Lock.
Setting off again!
Great to be setting off again this afternoon as we left Mercia Marina. We stopped on the way out to fill up with diesel and replace one of the gas bottles. With a full tank of water and batteries charged we are ready for new adventures on the cut!
Back to Oak
After a gap of just over two months we are glad to be back to Oak. She has been safely moored up at Mercia Marina on the Trent & Mersey canal.
Turning Back – Due to Flooding
So we have had to change our plans. Not going to make it to Leicester Marina now due to flooding on the River Soar ahead. Red warning lights! Time to turn around a retrace our route a little back to Mercia Marina about 5 locks back up the canal.
