Visited the the Framework Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington and Kedleston Hall for afternoon tea. Birthday meal at Hickory’s near Derby.

Visited the Richard III Centre and saw the excavation site in the carpark.

Thrumpton Hall
We bought some books, tea & cakes in aid of the Macmillan charity. We also had an exclusive tour of the house by the owner. The house and gardens were opened just for one Sunday afternoon for the National Garden Scheme. Normally, just the gardens are open on Wednesdays.
Langley Mill back to Ilkeston
We were joined for this two day stretch back down the Erewash Canal by our good friends from Kent – Dave & Jo.
